I have had enlargements made from it up to 24x36 inches (poster size) and they turn out just great. My most popular size to sell is 16x20. Regardless of raw compared to jpg there is not much difference. Raw just takes more space on memory cards. It realy dosen't produce a better enlargement, if that's what your doing. And if your daughter is just stating out this camera would be a very good consideration. Go to the Canon web-site and read it's specs. This camera sells for less than $400.00 in Canada. I am a professional photographer and chose this camera to eliminate carrying more expensive lenses and [unnessesary] assessories. The quality of the enlarements I frame and sell in my gallery are awesome ! Yes, this camera also takes very fine videos, recorded in digital stereo.
